Over $1K In Clothing Items Stolen From K&G Fashion Superstore

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — More than $1,000 in clothing items were stolen during a recent retail theft incident at K&G Fashion Superstore in Downers Grove.

Police were called to the store at 1524 Butterfield Rd. just after 6 p.m. on Oct. 14 for a report of a retail theft. Staff told police a man and woman came into the store and placed several items of clothing, including suits, hats, shoes and sweaters into a shopping cart.

As they left the store with the shopping cart, the store's alarm was activated by sensors on the stolen items, according to a police report. The total loss was reported at $1,290.84.
