The P4 Companies (P4), a leader in elite security and protection, has expanded its suite of executive protection services to include advanced cybersecurity. The need for this additional service has become evident in the last several months as P4 executive clients continue to experience a myriad of threats and attacks on both themselves, and in some cases, even their family members. Through the integration of advanced cybersecurity, P4 ensures that executives and high-net-worth individuals are safeguarded not only in physical spaces, but across their digital and online presence.

“The boundaries between physical and digital threats are becoming increasingly blurry, so expanding into cybersecurity became a natural progression as we continue to protect executives, dignitaries and high-net-worth individuals here in Illinois, around the country, and across the globe,” said P4 President Steve Vitale. “Cyber predators are becoming bolder, and so must we, to ensure our clients are protected as comprehensively as possible.”

Examples of advanced cyber defense services include real-time surveillance of social media exposure and dark web activity, “digital survival kits” for executives facing crisis scenarios, data wiping, digital forensics and cloud storage protection for sensitive data, that if breached, could result in a range of damaging scenarios.

A calculated cybersecurity attack from earlier this year highlights the escalating threats against C-suite executives that have extreme consequences. In April, a CEO and other senior executives from a large corporation were targeted, where hackers sent a threatening ransomware email, stating that customer data from 9.4 million users had been stolen. The incident stalled operations for several weeks and resulted in financial losses upwards of $400 million.

“These real threats underscore the urgent need to unite physical protection with robust cybersecurity defenses; without this additional layer of security, the damage can be life and career changing for any individual whose profession is engaged within the public sphere,” Vitale said.
