DOWNERS GROVE, IL — One person was hurt after the condo they were in caught fire Saturday evening in Downers Grove. The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. at the Farmingdale North Condominium complex in the 7300 block of North Fairview Avenue.

Firefighters got to the scene to find fire and smoke in a condo on the building's first floor, with a person trapped inside. They entered the unit, and got the resident out. The resident was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were last reported to be critical, as of Saturday night.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
