DOWNERS GROVE, IL — As we make our way through June, Downers Grove Public Library (DGPL) has planned a number of events for kids to celebrate Pride month. The festivities include Pride-inspired storytelling, crafts and more.

Rainbow Crafts

June 7, all day

Stop by the library to make a rainbow-themed craft in honor of Pride month. The event is limited to the first 100 attendees. Adults must accompany pre-school age students to this drop-in event, which is geared toward children in elementary school.

Pride-Themed Storytelling

June 14 at 10:30 a.m.

Kids two to six years old are invited to a story time event that features Pride-friendly music and picture-book stories read by librarians.

Community Pride Celebration

June 15 at 2 p.m.

Families are welcome to bring their kids to a Community Pride Celebration that will include stories, arts and crafts and other family-oriented activities.
