The Rec League Gets Positive Rec From Downers Grove Zoning Commission
The proposed development, helmed by the team behind The Foxtail and Cadence Kitchen, will now move to the Downers Grove Village Council.

DOWERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously Monday to recommend approval for The Rec League, a restaurant development proposed by the team behind The Foxtail and Cadence Kitchen.
Planning Manager Jason Zawila told Patch the project received a 9-0 positive recommendation.
The proposed restaurant would occupy a two-story building located at 844 Warren Ave. The 20,312 square foot space would feature an outdoor patio and at least one fire pit, according to village documents.

The Rec League would have a dining area on its first floor that opens onto the patio. The second floor would include space for customers to play billiards and darts. Wood timbers and stone accents on the building would "reflect a California mountain vernacular," according to the planned unit development application.
Next up, the proposal will move to the Downers Grove Village Council for approval.
