Stolen Car Seized In Downers Grove; Bolingbrook Man Charged
Police say Rene Acuna, 37, of Bolingbrook, said he found the car in Chicago with its keys inside.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police in Downers Grove seized a stolen Pontiac at the Dunkin' Donuts on Ogden Avenue on Dec. 8.
The 2008 Pontiac was first spotted on a license plate capture camera in the 7200 block of Woodward Avenue. After getting an alert, an officer tried to find the car and saw it heading toward Ogden from the 4900 block of Ogden Avenue.
The car, which was identified as being stolen out of Chicago, pulled into a gas station on Ogden and tried to get fuel before realizing the gas station was closed. Police followed the car to the Dunkin' at 1931 Ogden Ave., where the driver was arrested without incident.

Police say the driver, identified as Rene Acuna, 37, of Bolingbrook, told them he found the car in Chicago with the keys inside and took the car.
Acuna was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and was taken to DuPage County Jail.
