Stolen Gun Seized During Arrest In Westmont: Police

WESTMONT, IL — An Aurora man was arrested last Wednesday after police say they pulled him over in Westmont and found a stolen gun in his possession.

Lucaz Y. Hamad, 24, of the 3200 block of Longwood Lane, was charged with possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in connection with the Nov. 27 incident.

Police say they pulled Hamad over just before 1 a.m. in the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue because of an equipment violation. In addition to the gun charge, Hamad was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, driving without insurance and driving with expired license plates.
