Roads and sidewalks could become treacherous in the Downers Grove area, the forecast says.

A winter storm watch has given way to a freezing rain advisory for the Downers Grove area. The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of light freezing rain and sleet late in the morning and freezing rain early in the afternoon, with little or no sleep accumulation and ice accumulation of around one-tenth of an inch.
