Vienna Beef Hall Of Fame Inducts Downers Grove Hot Dog Joint

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — For more than 20 years, Scooby's Hot Dogs has been a beloved stop for residents of Downers Grove, but now the eatery has the added distinction of making it into the Vienna Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame.

Since the hall of fame's inception in 2006, just 150 eateries have made the cut. Scooby's Hot Dogs marked the 150th restaurant to be inducted.

In its review of Scooby's, Vienna Beef recognized co-owners Mihir Patel and Miguel Escobedo for their "winning menu" and "awesome burgers." They also commended Patel and Escobedo for their charitable efforts throughout the village.

The Vienna Beef profile of Scooby's states, "Scooby’s food, camaraderie, and attention to their community they have served for the past quarter of a century, has led Vienna Beef to pay homage and induct Miguel, Mihir, and Scooby’s of Downers Grove into the Vienna Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame."

Scooby's is known for its Chicago-style Vienna beef hot dogs, burgers, gyros and other handhelds. The shop also serves up fresh cut french fries, malt shakes and other favorites.
