Woodridge Police Reports: Property Damage, DUI, Drug Deal

The Woodridge Police Department reported crimes and arrests through Jan. 8.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. Jan. 2, Joseph Monarrez, 32 of the 6400 block of Halsey Drive in Woodridge, was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident following the investigation of malfunctioning traffic lights at 63rd Street and I-355.

At approximately 2:45 a.m. Jan. 3, Daniel Stegmaier, 29 of the 2900 block of Forest Glen Parkway in Woodridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding following a traffic stop at Woodridge Drive at Burke Court.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 7300 block of Woodward Avenue. Someone struck the back windshield of a parked vehicle, causing it to shatter.

At approximately 1:19 p.m. Jan. 6, Orlando Zolicoffer, 27 of the 7500 block of Orchard Lane in Woodridge, was charged with attempt possession of cannabis and Elvin Thorat, 20, of the 8200 block of Ruthorford Drive in Woodridge, was charged with delivery of cannabis following the investigation of an altercation in the 2100 block of Ridge Lane.

A criminal damage to property occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in the 8200 block of Compton Road. Someone set off a firework inside a residential mailbox, damaging the mailbox. A similar incident was also reported to have occurred in the 8100 block of Chesterton Drive.
