The COVID-19 pandemic means some of the Chicago area’s pumpkin patches have had to adjust hours, regulations and activities as they head into fall. But pumpkin picking — and other fall fun like apple orchards — can still happen with safety measures and social distancing in place.
Fortunately, the coronavirus has only changed — not completely closed — your favorite pumpkin patch and its offerings this fall. Below is a list of some of our favorite pumpkin patches near Elgin.

GOEBBERT'S PUMPKIN PATCH & APPLE ORCHARD
Address: 42W813 Reinking Road, Pingree Grove
Season opening/closing dates: Goebbert's Fall Festival is open through Halloween
Attractions: Haunted house, straw maze, pumpkin-eating dinosaur, singing chickens, and much more
Hours: From dusk to dawn
Pricing: $12.99 on weekdays, $16.99 on weekends. Seniors receive a discount. Children 2 and under can enter for free. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
