Feeling a little grinchy and want to start your holidays with a smile? While you’re out and about supporting local businesses on Small Business Saturday, take time out for a little fun and a mischievous grin. The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to bring your camera and take a photo with The Grinch on Saturday, November 29 from 2 to 4pm at the Elgin Chamber office at 31 South Grove in Downtown Elgin.

In addition, a special bright red mailbox is located on DuPage Court near the chamber office that’s ready to receive β€œletters to Santa” from children as a direct delivery line to Santa. Kids can drop off letters in a sealed envelope (no stamp needed) in the mailbox through Friday, December 12. Don’t forget to include a legible return address to get a special reply from jolly ole Santa himself. He can’t wait to hear from local children.

β€œBring the family to create holiday memories and have your photo taken with the infamous Grinch to kick-off the holiday season,” says Carol Gieske, CEO/president, Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce. β€œThe holiday spirit continues with the DuPage Court Holiday Tree near our office that will put you in a festive mood. Drop off a letter to Santa, too, in the festive red mailbox and wait to hear back from Santa himself.”
