15 Illinois Powerball Tickets Won $50,000 Saturday

Illinois tickets won more than 633,000 prizes from $4 to $50,000 in the Jan. 9 drawing.

The Jan. 13 Powerball jackpot is estimated at $1.4 billion as of Monday morning, but a few Illinois gamblers have already won some decent money.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing were 16 - 19 - 32 - 34 - 57 with Powerball number 13, and tickets in Illinois raked in more than 633,000 prizes, from $4 to $50,000, according to the Illinois Lottery.

In Illinois, 15 tickets won $50,000 by matching four out of five numbers and the Powerball.

Zero tickets sold in the state won $1 million, meaning no one in Illinois matched five numbers without the Powerball.

Prizes of $100 went to the 409 Illinois ticket holders who matched four out of five numbers without the Powerball and to the 1,034 people with three out of five matches plus the Powerball.

Three out of five numbers matching without the Powerball number earned $7 for 24,169 people, and a $7 prize was also assigned to those 20,460 tickets with two out of five matching numbers with the Powerball, the Illinois Lottery reports.

Just $4 went to 158,808 tickets with one out of five matches plus the Powerball and to 379,369 Powerball number-only matches.

The Power Play in Saturday’s drawing was X3. With the multiplier, 115 people in the state won $300, 3,775 won $21 and 45,212 won $12.

The next Powerball drawing will take place Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 9:59 p.m. Central time. The odds of winning the big prize are 1 in 292,201,338, according to the Illinois Lottery, and the cash value is $867.9 million.
