The local event was part of a wave of such rallies across the country.

ELMHURST, IL – Nearly 3,000 people attended a "No Kings" rally Saturday in Elmhurst, a part of a wave of anti-Trump demonstrations nationwide, according to a local group.
Progressives for Change in Elmhurst, which coordinates such events locally, said it wanted to rally people against the president's use of the military in cities, his immigration raids and what they see as his attacks on democracy.
The event started at 2:30 p.m., with a large crowd gathering at the City Hall plaza and along York Street. They then marched to Glos Park.
