Officers pulled the men over after the drug deal, and they found seven kilograms of heroin with a street value of about $1.4 million inside Pacheco-Ramos’ car. They also found “a large quantity” of cash in Pacheco-Ramos’ home.

Luis Hernandez pleaded of guilty Feb. 26, 2015, to unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Andres Hernandez pleaded guilty May 19, 2015, to unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. He was also sentenced to six years in prison.

“The conviction of these four men demonstrates that we will continue to aggressively prosecute drug dealers who peddle this poison to our children,” said DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin in a statement. ”Make no mistake however, we still have a long way to go to rid our neighborhoods of the pain, heartache and death caused by drugs.”

The DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, the Addison Police Department, Elgin Police Department’s Special Investigations Division, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations were all part of these cases.
