'Aggressive' Incidents At 2 Elmhurst Businesses
A restaurant and a factory handled troublesome people in the last few days, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving "verbally aggressive" people, a DUI, a domestic disturbance, a burglary, car burglaries and retail theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
'Verbally aggressive'
- A customer was described as "verbally aggressive" with staff before leaving about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Jersey Mike's restaurant, 297 N. York St. Police contacted the customer and planned to give the customer a no-trespass notice.
- A person was described as "verbally aggressive" toward an employee about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Monarch Tool, 862 N. Industrial Drive. Police found the person, who was given a no-trespass notice.
DUI

- A 73-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of North Howard Avenue was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of North York Street on charges of DUI, improper lighting and improper lane usage. He was taken to the police station and then released.
Domestic disturbance
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 11 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of South Monterey Avenue. A woman said she wanted her boyfriend to leave the house. While the officers were still there, the two started arguing again. They agreed to separate for the night.
Burglary

- Someone cut a lock to access a secure parking lot between 11 p.m. Monday and 3 a.m. Tuesday at Al Piemonte Buick, 364 W. Grand Ave. The person then damaged a car. The suspect was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV. The burglary was reported about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. An investigation is pending.
Car burglaries
- Someone entered several unlocked cars and rifled through the consoles overnight Tuesday in the 100 block of North Clinton Avenue. An investigation is pending.
- Someone entered an unlocked car overnight Tuesday in the 200 block of North Indiana Street. Nothing appeared to be stolen.
Retail theft
- A 37-year-old Morton Grove woman was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on charges of retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police were alerted by Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, that the woman was driving a green Honda Pilot SUV. She was stopped and found with stolen merchandise, police said. She was released.
