Elmhurst police saw a group of men around 2:11 a.m. Nov. 8 walking with an American flag on a metal pole near North and Maple.The men tried to hide the flag when they saw police, Elmhurst police reported.After an investigation, Sergio D. Lopez, 21 of the 500 block of West Crockett Avenue, was arrested for possession of stolen goods. Michael J. Huffar, 21 of the 2900 block of Avalon Avenue in Joliet, was arrested for theft, according to police.The flag belonged to a resident in the 100 block of North Larch. Both men were cited for theft and released on bond.
