Another Monster List of College Students' Achievements

We love good news, and here's a bunch of it about our own Elmhurst students.

Before students head back to school in the coming weeks, we wanted to present another list of Elmhurst students' accomplishments. These students are attending colleges all over the country, and we thank them for bringing pride to our community. 

Hannah Deadman graduated with high honors from College of DuPage. She is transferring to Palm Beach Atlantic University in August to pursue a degree in public relations and dance. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and she participated on the Forensics Team and was president of Koinonia at COD.

Michael Voss earned a bachelor's degree from University of St. Francis, Joliet.

Gina Knutson earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware, Newark.

The following students were awarded bachelor's degrees from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb: Brian Anstiss, Jacob Aguilar, Benjamin Tregler, Zachary Fuka, Jacqueline Stefani, Cortney Schirmer, Marielle Ostling, Marco Iannotta, Steven Granstrom, Jensine Joseph, Michael Murphy, Yvonne Utomi and Adam Ahern.

Trevor Robert Jordan, a sophomore in engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, Mo., was named to the honor list for the spring semester.

John Joseph Reidy IV was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Reidy is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

The following students were named to the dean's list for the spring term at North Central College, Naperville: Elizabeth Dalrymple, Kayla Kummerow, Mary Kate Rohn, Abigail Rummage, Kimberly Smaga, Mary Tiedje and Brian Zable.

Mary LaShure and Scott Werly earned honor roll distinction for the spring semester at the University of Kansas, Lawrence. LaShure is a senior studying respiratory care, and Werly is a senior in communication studies. 

Alexandra Annicella, Peter Coffin, Brendan Connelly and Rachael White were named to the dean's list for the second semester at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.

Kelsi Brown, daughter of Kevin and Bonnie Brown, and Anna Ratliff, daughter of Christopher and Elaine Ratliff, were named to dean's list for the academic year at Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisc.

Matthew Hilgendorf earned a bachelor of science degree from Emory University, Atlanta, Ga.

Cadet Andrew Johnson, son of Robert and Camille Johnson, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y. Johnson, a 2009 York High School graduate, studied systems management, with a minor in engineering. He was team captain of the Army baseball team his senior year. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army in the field artillery branch and will report to Fort Sill, Ok., for his first assignment.

Aleksey Zurkowski earned an associate's degree in applied computer technology from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, N.Y.

Brooke Porter earned bachelor's degrees in marketing and radio-television, and Carly Hamilton earned a bachelor's degree in elementary teacher education from Drake University, Des Moines.

Andrea Pahomi and Jessica Wangler were named to the dean's recognition list for part-time students during the spring semester at Benedictine University, Lisle. Full time dean's list students from Benedictine include Emil Antony, Madelyn Feine, Stephanie Samuel and Valerie Senter.

Brooke Porter was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Drake University, Des Moines.

Michael McNulty, son of Michael and Doreen McNulty, signed with the Bethany College Swedes Football Team, Lindsborg, Kan. He plans to major in biology. McNulty comes to Bethany from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, where he was a running back for one year. He earned All-Conference honors, Most Valuable Player offense and Honorable Mention All-American honors. Prior to Morningside, McNulty played football for two years at College of DuPage. He earned JUCO All-American honors, All-Conference honors and Most Valuable Player offensive honors. At York High School, he earned All-Conference and All-State honors, and was the team's most valuable player and team captain. He also played basketball and ran track.

Brendan Daly, Jessica Onstwedder and Rachel Polkow were named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Butler University, Indianapolis.

Andrew Aldrich earned Faculty Honors for the spring term at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. the honor is awarded to students with a 4.0 average for the semester.

Matthew Graziano earned a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering and a master's degree in structural engineering, with honors, from Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Charlene Osmanski was named to dean's list for the spring semester at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y. She also earned a bachelor's degree in business and management.

Theresa Ferrera, daughter of Myrna and Hannibal Ferrera, received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Ind.

Morgan Pruitt a student at Aurora University, was named a Northern Athletics Conference Scholar-athlete for Lacrosse.

Thomas Keefe earned a bachelor's degree in animation from DePaul University's College of Computing and Digital Media, Chicago.

Lauralee Johnson was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, Calif.

Dominican University, River Forest, announced its spring graduates. They include: Danielle Hepko, cum laude, apparel design; Hillary De Grandis, magna cum laude, psychology; Julie Poremski, magna cum laude, corporate communication and Spanish; Karla Bayas, cum laude, neuroscience and political science; Ryan Roberts, accounting.

The following local residents are part of the University of Dayton's most selective incoming class in school history: Ariana Tourlas, Kathleen Ryan, Mollie Haas, Fiona Marnik-Said, Angela Guerino, Scott Klein, Anna Buckley, Rachel Michaud, Nicole Drake and John McEnroe.

Ann Fazzio was named to the dean's list for the academic year at Villanova University, Villanova, Penn. She is majoring in nursing.

Katherine Ratliff earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry, cum laude; Brian Spisiak earned a bachelor's degree in political science, magna cum laude; and Kenneth Zillig earned a bachelor's degree in biology, magna cum laude, from Carlton College, Northfield, Minn.

Neelima Paranjpey earned a doctorate degree in organization development, and Stephanie Samuel earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Benedictine University, Lisle.
