Armed Man At Elmhurst Gas Station Arrested: Police
In another case, a hospital patient gave multiple names in an attempt to get drugs, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, disorderly conduct, obstructing identification, drug possession and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:
Weapons charge
- Jovon Aaron Woods, 30, of Bellwood, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at Shell gas station, 654 W. North Ave., on charges of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct (breach of peace). Police said Woods had a Glock 22 handgun with an extended magazine tucked in his waistband. Officers received a complaint about it. Woods had no concealed carry license, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Obstructing identification

- A 27-year-old Naperville woman was arrested about 9 a.m. Saturday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, on a charge of obstructing identification. She was also wanted on a DuPage County warrant. Police said the woman, a patient, used different names to hospital staff to try to get drugs. She also provided multiple names to officers. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Drugs
- A 41-year-old Alsip man was arrested about 9 p.m. Thursday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane usage. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI

- A 30-year-old Glen Ellyn woman was arrested about 8:30 a.m. Friday on charges of DUI and driving an uninsured car. Police said she was found asleep behind the wheel at Thorntons gas station, 476 N. York St. She was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 23-year-old Melrose Park man was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at North and Clinton avenues on charges of DUI and speeding. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 20-year-old Bloomington, Minnesota, man was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Vallette and York streets on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured car, disobeying a traffic control device and illegal possession of open alcohol by a driver. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 31-year-old Bellwood man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Charles Road and Fair Avenue on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. He was taken to the police station and then released.
