'Bang, Bang': Man Threatens Elmhurst Cops With Gun After Refusing to Leave Trampoline Park

He made quite a scene at Sky Zone that day.

A man who refused to leave Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Elmhurst Jan. 14 was charged with aggravated assault after he refused to leave and threatened police officers with a gun.

Jonovan Brown, 26, who’s from Broadview, was at Sky Zone around 6 p.m. when police were called to the scene. Brown was allegedly screaming, yelling, swearing and refusing to leave the premises. He reportedly told security he was going to get his gun and then reached into his waistband and said “Bang, bang,” according to police reports.

Elmhurst police arrived at 325 W. Lake Street to take Brown into custody and charged him with aggravated assault, criminal trespass to real property and disorderly conduct.

Brown was released on bond, but police said they intend to follow-up the incident with further investigation.
