ELMHURST, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Jim Goulding, who nominated his daughter, Haley Goulding, a paramedic who works for Superior Ambulance.

Paramedic

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?

Volunteered to go assist NYC paramedics. She’s been deployed for two weeks.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?

She works for Superior Ambulance and worked out of Elmhurst Fire Station, Ladder 2, in 2019. Since then, she’s moved on to an advanced specialized training program, within Superior, dealing with the transport of critical and high risk patients. She’s always been a brave person. She was born to help people with emergency medical needs.
