Boy Tried to Hide Cannabis in His Pants When Driver Was Stopped for DUI
The driver was charged with DUI and endangering a child.

Elmhurst police who stopped a car around 10:27 p.m. Jan. 13 for speeding and improper lane use found the driver was under the influence and the juvenile passenger was trying to hide cannabis inside his pants.
The driver, Francis Derobertis, 21 of the 500 block of W. Armitage in Elmhurst, was stopped in the 400 block of Spring, according to Elmhurst police.
Derobertis was charged with DUI, endangering the health/life of a child, improper lane use and speeding, police reported.

He was released on bond.
The juvenile passenger was released to his mother without charges, pending a juvenile petition for unlawful possession of cannabis, police reported.
