City Council Approves Stormwater Agreement with Park District

ELMHURST, IL — The Elmhurst City Council has agreed to buy land on the side of Golden Meadows Park to be used in stormwater detention.

The Elmhurst Park District Board has not yet approved the intergovernmental agreement, according to the Chicago Tribune, but they are expected to do so at a meeting this month.

The plan will hopefully help keep some homes in the area from flooding during a major storm, the Tribune reports.
