City Prepares for June 21 Storm
Sand bags are available in the parking lot of the Public Works Garage for residents

Elmhurst, IL – The city of Elmhurst is preparing for the predicted storm that's set to hit northern Illinois and the Chicago suburbs June 21.
The Street Division performed inlet patrol Tuesday afternoon, crews checked low-lying areas, cleared inlets and completed necessary sweeping, according to the city.
Elmhurst residents are asked to check and clear inlets on their streets before the storm.

On-site city supervisors and employees will monitor the storm and call for additional employees, if needed. Sand bags are available in the parking lot of the Public Works Garage for residents, the city reports.
A pile of sand, bags and shovels is available for residents to make their own sand bags if the ready-made bags are all taken.
