Crashes, Near Misses At Elmhurst Intersection: Aldermen
A couple of aldermen are asking the city to review the intersection's safety.

ELMHURST, IL – A crash at Kenilworth and Fullerton avenues last month has prompted a request for the city to review the northside intersection's safety.
Ward 3 aldermen Michael Bram and Chris Jensen said the crash involved two cars on the afternoon of Dec. 8.
One of the drivers ran the yield sign on Kenilworth and struck an eastbound car on Fullerton, they said. The collision pushed one of the cars over the curb and onto a neighbor's property,

"The neighbors in this area feel that there have been many near misses as well as accidents at this intersection," the aldermen said in a memo earlier this month.
Because the neighborhood is without sidewalks, pedestrians are particularly at risk, they said.

They are asking for a City Council committee to analyze the intersection.
The council is set to vote on the request Tuesday.
