Dean L. Armstrong, 86, of Lake Summerset, Ill., died Saturday, April 20, surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Armstrong taught science and math at Sandburg Junior High School in Elmhurst until his retirement in 1992. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy as an electrician's mate working on Navy maintenance vessels based out of Shanghai, China. He is survived by five children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
