Disorderly Drinker At Elmhurst Store: Police
In another case, a resident bought a car online, but never received it, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a disturbance, fraud, stolen cash, falls, threats, a domestic disturbance and slashed tires. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Disturbance
- A 47-year-old Villa Park woman was cited shortly before midnight Sunday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on a city ordinance violation of possession of liquor in public. Police said she entered the store with open alcohol and caused a disturbance. She was given a no-trespass notice.
Fraud

- A resident in the 300 block of South Prospect Avenue told police Thursday about buying a car online last month but never receiving it or a refund. An investigation is pending.
Stolen cash
- A man told police that his envelope of cash was stolen between 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Friday at Elite Car Outlet, 178 N. Route 83. An investigation is pending.

- An officer and medics responded to a person who had fallen about 8 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of South Poplar Avenue. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
- An officer and medics responded to a person who had fallen about 11 a.m. Saturday at Eggleston and Argyle avenues. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
- An officer saw a woman fall about 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Michigan Street and Elmhurst Avenue. She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
Domestic disturbance
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of South Parkside Avenue. Police said a woman reported a man in the house was drunk and argumentative. They agreed to separate for the night.
Threats
- A resident in the 700 block of North Geneva Avenue told police about 11:30 p.m. Saturday that a suspect sent her threatening messages. She wanted the incident documented for the record.
Slashed tires
- Residents in the 100 block of North Willow Road told police their cars' tires were slashed about 4 a.m. Sunday.
