Downtown Elmhurst Land Buy Sparks Local Buzz
The lots are on the outer edge of downtown, near an elementary and a Catholic school.

ELMHURST, IL – A company has bought three properties on the outer edge of Elmhurst's downtown, near Hawthorne Elementary and IC Catholic Prep.
The parcels were purchased in mid-April for $2.7 million, according to a state real estate transfer declaration. They are at 117, 119 and 123 W. Virginia St.
Two of the lots are vacant, while the other contains an older apartment building.

On local social media, residents wondered what was planned for the properties. A message left with the city on Thursday went unreturned.
According to the declaration, the seller was a company called 127 Virginia Series, owned by Western-Springs-based developer Felix Lampariello.

Patch could find little about the buyer, listed as Virginia 531 LLC.
