Drone Finds Fleeing Man In Elmhurst: Cops

The suspect was wanted in a domestic battery case, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – A drone helped officers find a domestic battery suspect Wednesday night in Elmhurst, local police said.

About 10:30 p.m., the man ran away from a car being pursued by another police agency on Interstate 209, Elmhurst police said. He was seen running on the west shoulder of the expressway toward South Street.

Elmhurst issued an alert to residents in the area.

Shortly after midnight, a police drone located the suspect about four blocks away from I-290. He was in the woods near the Illinois Prairie Path and Fair Avenue, police said. He was arrested.
