Drugs and Alcohol Lead to Multiple Arrests in Elmhurst
Suspects are arrested for DUI, fighting, drinking in a van and possession of cannabis.

Driving Under the Influence of Drugs
Abigail Fernandez, 23, 2826 W. 21st St., Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of cannabis after police pulled over her gray Pontiac G6 for no seat belt at North and Myrtle at 11:38 p.m. May 16. She was released on bond.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Alberto Mendoza, 40, 4720 W. Hutchinson, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his silver Mitsubishi Eclipse for no seat belt at North and Myrtle at 1:14 a.m. May 17. He was released on bond.
Clemente Arragon, 41, 791 Industrial Drive, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without a license after police pulled over his black Chevrolet Blazer for suspicion of DUI on the 700 block of Industrial at 11:02 p.m. May 17. He was released on bond.
Salvador Cruz, 53, 905 E. Crockett, Addison, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his black Ford Taurus for improper lane use and disobeying a traffic control device at Larch and North at 3:19 a.m. May 18. He was released on bond.
Hermez Kacho, 36, 1758 E. Euclid, Mount Prospect, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his gray Infiniti G25 for disobeying a traffic control device at Lake and Route 83 at 3:44 a.m. May 19. He was released on bond.
Andrew A. Roth, 21, 3142 Rhodes, Melrose Park, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over a pink Isuzu Amigo for improper lane use at St. Charles and Fair at 4:04 a.m. May 19. Passenger Vanessa A. Cervania, 25, 17W714 Butterfield Road, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on bond.
Disorderly Conduct
James Carlson, 46, 118 Virginia Apt. 8, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with public intoxication, provoking a fight and battery at Fitz's, 172 N. Addison, at 10:27 p.m. May 2. He was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Kevin Phelan, 26, 904 Prairie Ridge, Burr Ridge, was arrested and cited under city ordinance for disorderly conduct twice. Police said they arrested him the first time after they found him intoxicated and waving his arms at passing cars on the 600 block of West North Avenue at 11:43 p.m. May 4. He was arrested a second time, at 1 a.m. May 5, after he was involved in an argument.
Cesar Carillo, 36, 130 E. George St., Bensenville, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct/fighting at Grammar Transportation, 179 Spangler Ave., at 1:55 p.m. May 10. He was released on bond.

Open Liquor in Public
Roberto Vallejo, 45, 1425 Fieldstone Lane, North Aurora, and Jose Contreras, 37, of the same address, were cited for open liquor in public after they were found drinking alcohol in their parked Chevrolet van at 215 S. Route 83 at 6:48 p.m. May 16. They were released on bond.
Possession of Cannabis
Anthony Moore, 45, 1143 W. 85th St., Chicago, was charged with possession of cannabis after police pulled over his blue Honda Accord for failure to signal at North Avenue and Interstate 290 at 12:42 a.m. May 7. He was released on bond.
Petar Postic, 20, Addison, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police, observing a suspicious vehicle, found him in his black Chevrolet on the 400 block of West Grand at 11:59 p.m. May 13. He was released on bond.
Raymond Zukowski, 33, 129 Virginia Apt. 1A, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police pulled him over for no seat belt at North and Emroy at 1:02 a.m. May 15. He also was wanted on a warrant out of Kane County. He was released on bond.
