Drunken Driver Gets Stuck on Railroad Tracks in Elmhurst: Police

He was charged with aggravated driving under the influence x2.

Elmhurst police were called around 2:19 a.m. Nov. 30 for reports of a car stuck on the railroad tracks east of Poplar Avenue.

The driver, identified as Robert Powers, 67 of the 2200 block of West Adams in Chicago, was found to be under the influence, according to Elmhurst police.

Powers was charged with aggravated DUI x 2, trespass to railroad property, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended license. He was taken to DuPage County Jail, police reported.
