Elmhurst Arrests Man Who Threatened Cops In Another State: Report
Local officers stopped a pickup truck that they deemed suspicious on Route 83.

ELMHURST, IL – A man accused of threatening to shoot officers in Kansas was arrested in Elmhurst late last week, according to public records.
On Aug. 6, Joaquin I. Sayago, 45, of Syracuse, Kansas, was involved in a domestic disturbance involving a gun in Syracuse, according to the sheriff's office in Kansas' Hamilton County. Authorities said the man told the victim that he was going to shoot it out with the police.
The sheriff's office said it learned that Sayago had fled the state, with deputies seizing multiple guns and ammunition from his home.

A warrant was issued for Sayago, charging aggravated assault and making a criminal threat.
About 1 p.m. Saturday, Elmhurst police stopped a gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck that they deemed suspicious on Route 83 near Walmart. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
