ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst woman who has run a bakery out of her house for more than four years is expected to open a commercial space later this month.

In an email, Kai Sison MacNicol told Patch she would run her RoughEdges Confectionary from the Two Brothers From Italy restaurant at 128 W. Park Ave., starting Aug. 17.

In January, MacNicol set up a 30-day investment campaign on the Honeycomb Credit site. The effort drew $25,000 on the first day. She met her maximum of $65,000 with 27 days left, she said.
