Elmhurst Car Jumper Charged With Disorderly Conduct: Cops

In another case, an Elmhurst man faces aggravated battery charges, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police charged people with disorderly conduct, aggravated domestic battery, trespassing and burglary. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:

Disorderly conduct

  • A 47-year-old Plainfield man was arrested about 1 p.m. Friday on a disorderly conduct charge. During an argument, the man jumped out of a moving car after removing the keys while it was still being driven near York Street and Seminole Avenue, police said. The man ran away, but officers later found him.
  • An 82-year-old Rolling Meadows man was cited about 1 p.m. Friday at York and Adelia streets on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said the man urinated on the street after his car broke down.

Aggravated domestic battery

  • Jonathan Woods, 30, who lives in the 100 block of Fellows Court in Elmhurst, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Thursday at his listed address on charges of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery (two counts) and domestic battery (two counts). A woman told officers that the man wasn't supposed to be at the house, police said. He is accused of hitting the woman and hitting her. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Soliciting without a license

  • A 26-year-old Woodridge man and a 30-year-old Lyndhurst, New Jersey, man were cited about 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Belden Avenue on charges of soliciting without a license.

Trespassing

  • A 31-year-old Maywood man was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at Interstate 290 and St. Charles Road on charges of criminal trespass to a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license. He was also wanted on a warrant. He was released to the Schaumburg police.

Burglary

  • Laroy Redmond, 51, of Chicago, was arrested about 8 p.m. Sunday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on charges of burglary, retail theft and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
