Elmhurst Couple Fight Over Allergens: Police

In another case, someone phoned in a threat to a person at York High School, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police responded to cases involving a dispute over allergens, a threat, battery, burglary, DUI, porch piracy and gas theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Dispute over allergens

  • A man and woman have argued and fought physically over spraying allergens around the house in the 800 block of South Bryan Street. Police received the report Thursday. No arrests were made because of conflicting stories and a lack of injuries.

Threat

  • Someone threatened a person over the phone about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road. The suspect was given a no-trespass notice.

Battery

  • A 35-year-old Addison man was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Sunday at a house in the 700 block of Junior Terrace on two counts of battery. In the same incident, a 24-year-old Elmhurst man, who lives at the house, was arrested on two counts of domestic battery and two counts of battery. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Burglary

  • Eduardo Reza, 35, of Maywood, was arrested about 11 a.m. Saturday at York Street and North Avenue on a Cook County warrant charging burglary. Police said they contacted Reza because he was standing in the road. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • A 31-year-old Melrose Park man was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday at St. Charles Road and Berkley Avenue on charges of DUI and illegal stopping or standing where prohibited. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 46-year-old Chicago man was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday at North Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, improper lighting and driving an uninsured car. He was taken to the police station and then released.

Porch piracy

  • A package delivered by Amazon was stolen between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursday on the front porch of a house in the 100 block of North Willow Road.

Gas theft

  • A person pumped gas but did not pay for it about 3:30 p.m. Thursday at BP gas station, 217 E. Butterfield Road. An investigation is pending.
