Elmhurst D205 Gives $20K In Settlement With Family

The district released the agreement in response to a public records request.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst School District 205 is giving a student's family $20,000 as part of a settlement.

Earlier this week, the school board voted unanimously for the six-page agreement. Patch obtained the heavily redacted document through a public records request.

In return for the money, the family agreed to withdraw any claims against the district. The two sides pledged confidentiality, except for when the law requires disclosure.
