Elmhurst Eagle Scout Donates Project To American Legion
In all, the project took 73 hours to complete. The Eagle Scout recently presented it to the local Legion post.

ELMHURST, IL – York High School Junior Ben Melzer recently presented his Eagle Scout Project to the Elmhurst American Legion THB Post 187.
Ben is a member of Troop 417 under Scout Leader Mr. Prine. This project entailed a complete restoration of a plaster base which was recovered from the Italian American Veterans Museum that was being discarded, and then decorating a new plexiglass box on top of the stand.
This project will serve as a donation box for the American Legion and features an upside-down military helmet to collect cash/coin donations.

In all this project took 73 hours to complete. He recently presented this completed project along with other members of Troop 417 to Post Commander Eric Pulia and Post Judge Advocate and Elmhurst 2nd Ward Alderman Jacob Hill who is an Army Veteran.
