Elmhurst Eatery Opens After 8-Day Closure
The restaurant gave the reason it had to shut its doors, saying it had a "very challenging week."
ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst restaurant said on social media Wednesday that it was closed for eight days because a pipe burst in the building.
In the post, 100 South Chophouse, 100 S. York St., announced that it received approval to reopen "after a very challenging week." The eatery said it had renovated its kitchen and basement.
"I would like to sincerely say, I truly apologize for any reservations that we had to cancel, phone calls that were missed, or disappointment as a walk-in customer," the post said, without indicating who was writing it. "As the old saying goes, pressure is a privilege, we will embrace it."
