Elmhurst Gas Station Abduction Staged: Police
Clerk and boyfriend now face felony charges.

The case of the missing Elmhurst gas station clerk has ended with the clerk and her boyfriend accused of staging a robbery and abduction.
Simone Boyd, 21, of Lombard, initially presumed missing, is now charged with felony theft, as is her boyfriend, Brandon Morris, 21, of Lombard, according to Elmhurst police.
Surveillance video from the Shell gas station at 654 West North Avenue shows a man jumping over the counter and taking cash. The robber then took the clerk with him. Police were called to the gas station at 5 a.m. to do a well being check on the clerk and found no one at the station.

Police found the couple and the money. They are currently in the DuPage County Jail.
