Elmhurst Industrial Firm Plans Expansion
The company said a warehouse addition would allow it to grow significantly.

ELMHURST, IL – Krueger Steel & Wire, which has been in business in Elmhurst for more than a half century, is planning an expansion.
In 2022, the City Council approved a 31,500-square-foot warehouse addition and a 2,800-square-foot office addition for Krueger, 900 Industrial Drive.
The office plan remains the same, but the business is now proposing a smaller warehouse expansion of 7,900 square feet, according to a city memo.

The city's Zoning and Planning Commission plans to address the request at its meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.
According to Krueger's proposal, the warehouse addition will be for a large piece of equipment that will allow the business to grow significantly. The addition is set for the south side of the building.

The property is surrounded by industrial uses.
Krueger's website said it is an intermediate processor of cold-finished bar and wire.
