Elmhurst Man Charged After Sexual Comments: Cops
Police said the man approached a woman threateningly. He was charged with disorderly conduct.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of disorderly conduct, battery, retail theft and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Disorderly conduct
- A 38-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of West Fay Avenue was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Grantley Avenue on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said the man made derogatory and sexual comments to a woman and approached her threateningly. He was released.

- A 22-year-old Melrose Park man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Courtyard by Marriott, 370 N. Route 83, on charges of battery and disorderly conduct. Police responded to a fight. He was released.
Retail theft
- A 35-year-old Gurnee woman was arrested about 5:30 a.m. Thursday at the Shell gas station at 654 W. North Ave. on charges of retail theft and obstructing identification. She was released.
- A 25-year-old Wheaton man and a 32-year-old Berkeley man were arrested about 7 p.m. Thursday on a retail theft charge. Police said the men admitted to stealing alcohol at Jewel, 944 S. York St. They were released.
- A 24-year-old Aurora woman was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on a retail theft charge. Police said the woman's car was illegally parked in the fire lane. She was then found to have stolen goods. She was taken to the police department and then released.
DUI

- A 20-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 300 block of North Ridgeland Avenue was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday near McDonald's, 190 E. Butterfield Road, on charges of DUI, possession of fraudulent identification, possession of open alcohol and having no insurance. Police said he was seen urinating outside the restaurant. They learned he had driven there. He was taken to the police department and then released.
- A 22-year-old Addison man was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at Lake Street and Grand Avenue on charges of DUI, disorderly conduct, attempting to elude a police officer in a car, failure to yield to emergency vehicles, disobeying a traffic control device, improper lane usage, parking or standing on roadway, improper window tinting and obstructing the front windshield. He was taken to the police department and then released.
- A 26-year-old Lombard man was arrested about 5 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West North Avenue on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured car, and illegally stopping or standing where prohibited. Police said he was found asleep behind the wheel. He was taken to the police department and then released.
- A 28-year-old Stone Park man was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Elmcrest and Fremont avenues on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, resisting an officer and improper lighting. The man tried to run away, but he was caught. He was taken to the police department and then released.
- A 30-year-old Northlake man was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday at North and Addison avenues on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage. He was taken to the police department and then released.
- A 31-year-old Willowbrook man was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday at North Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, marijuana possession by a driver, and illegally stopping and standing where prohibited. Police said the driver was stopped in traffic. He was taken to the police department and then released.
- A 55-year-old Melrose Park man was arrested about 8 p.m. Sunday at Grand and Industrial avenues on charges of DUI, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and possession of open alcohol. He was taken to the police department and then released.
