Elmhurst Man Jailed On Harassment Charge: Cops

In 2022, he was accused of puncturing two tires and cracking the windshield of a man's car, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man was arrested over the weekend after leaving a harassing voicemail that violated an order of protection against him, local police said.

George H. Hronopoulos, 65, was arrested shortly after noon Sunday at his home on charges of violation of an order of protection, phone harassment and attempted disorderly conduct. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail, where he remained Tuesday morning.

Police said Hronopoulos admitted to leaving the voicemail.

In September 2022, Hronopoulos was arrested on charges of criminal damage to property and harassment through electronic communications.

According to a police report, Hronopoulos punctured two tires and cracked the windshield of a man's car in the middle of the night a month earlier in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue.
