Elmhurst Man Sent Explicit Videos Of Himself: Police

The resident then found himself the victim of a scam, according to a report.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving explicit videos, a domestic disturbance, fraud and damage. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Explicit videos

  • A resident in the 200 block of West Michigan Avenue told police Saturday that he sent explicit videos of himself to another person. The other person said she wanted $300. Otherwise, she would send the videos to his friends. The resident refused to pay, instead coming to the police station to file a report.

Domestic disturbance

  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of North Van Auken Street. A woman told police that another person hit her during an argument. The other person denied it, but acknowledged arguing. Police found no evidence of a battery. The other person agreed to leave for the night.

Fraud

  • A resident in the 400 block of East Atwater Avenue told police Friday that he contacted so-called support for HP, previously known as Hewlett-Packard, and a person there gained remote access. The resident sent the person a wire transfer. The resident said he later froze his accounts and was advised to contact the fraud department about the theft.

Damage

  • A resident in the 300 block of East Cayuga Avenue told police Sunday that someone had broken his garage window at some point since Feb. 13. He said someone tried to gain entry. Nothing was reported stolen.
