Elmhurst Man Sets Fire To House: Cops

He was charged with aggravated arson and taken to the county jail, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man was arrested over the weekend after he set clothing on fire, with the fire spreading in the house, police said.

Elmhurst firefighters put out the fire about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of North Highview Avenue, police said.

Wilson A. Giron Miguel, 22, who lives in the 400 block of North Highview Avenue, was charged with aggravated arson and residential arson, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

A few hours before the fire, police reported responding to a domestic disturbance in the same block. Both people agreed to stay away from each other for the rest of the night, police said. It was unclear whether the incidents were connected.
