Elmhurst Man Slashes Tires In Neighborhood: Police

In another case, two women were charged with disorderly conduct, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police charged people with criminal property damage, disorderly conduct, fleeing from an officer, retail theft and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:

Slashing tires

  • A 21-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 200 block of East Schiller Street was arrested March 16 on a criminal property damage charge. Police said he slashed tires about 4 a.m. Jan. 12 in the 100 block of North Willow Road. He was released.

Disorderly conduct

  • A 29-year-old woman and a 27-year-old woman, both from Chicago, were cited about 1 a.m. March 17 at Extended Stay America hotel, 550 W. Grand Ave., on charges of disorderly conduct. Police said the women were in an argument, which escalated into a physical altercation. Both denied starting the physical contact. They were released.

Fleeing from an officer

  • A 20-year-old Bensenville man was arrested about 1:30 p.m. March 20 at Grand and Old Grand avenues on charges of fleeing from an officer and improperly parking on the roadway. Police said they were called about a man sleeping behind the wheel. When officers contacted the man, he drove away, police said. He was released.

Retail theft

  • A 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both from Chicago, were arrested about 3:30 p.m. Friday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on retail theft charges. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • Lisandro Lopez-Fabien, 32, of Bensenville, was arrested about 7 p.m. March 20 at York Street and Grand Avenue on charges of aggravated DUI, obstructing identification, driving with a revoked license, driving an uninsured car and possessing open alcohol by a driver. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 24-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 4:30 a.m. Friday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured car and illegally stopping on the roadway. Police said the man was sleeping behind the wheel. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 60-year-old Cicero man was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of North Willow Road on charges of DUI and driving an uninsured car. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 39-year-old Maywood man was arrested about 5 p.m. Saturday at Route 83 and the Canadian National Railroad on charges of DUI, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, driving an uninsured car, having no valid driver's license and driving with a suspended license. He was taken to the police station and then released.
