Elmhurst Mayor Far Outraised Opponent
Politicians, a developer and a city contractor were among the mayor's contributors.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst Mayor Scott Levin, who won a second term in a landslide two weeks ago, raised nearly 3½ times more than his opponent, Mark Mulliner, in the last quarter.
Both men filed their financial reports Monday with the Illinois Board of Elections.
According to the reports, Levin collected $41,836 during the quarter that ended March 31, while Mulliner, a former longtime alderman, raised $12,515.

Among Levin's donors was Christopher Burke Engineering, a city contractor that contributed $1,000.
Another contributor was Toby Veit, a Chicago-based executive for developer Ryan Companies. A year ago, the developer completed the 200-unit Vyne on Haven apartment complex, which received the city's approval in 2022. The company is also looking to build another big apartment complex as part of a performing arts center on First Street and Addison Avenue.

Other donors included Elmhurst school board member Beth Hosler ($250), former Alderman Michael Honquest ($250), Willowbrook Mayor Frank Trilla ($250), former alderman and Democratic state Rep. Marti Deuter ($300), Comcast Financial Agency Corp. ($1,000) and Larry Roesch's Elmhurst car dealership ($1,500).
Levin prevailed with 72 percent of the vote.
