Elmhurst Mitten Tree Collects Donations for Third Year

The City of Elmhurst will be collecting mittens, socks and gloves for DuPage County residents in need.

Donations will be collected on a Christmas tree located in City Hall, from Dec. 1 to Dec. 22.

The city is asking the community to help kids, teens and adults of all ages stay warm this winter by donating gloves, mittens and socks. Donations can be fastened to the Christmas tree located in the center foyer of City Hall. Clothespins can be found in baskets on the Fire Department Administration and Community Development counters.

The donated mittens, socks and gloves will be distributed by Immaculate Conception Parish, and the 1st United Methodist Churches in Elmhurst.
