The recent ruling on the Austin v. Pritzker case resulted in a temporary restraining order (TRO) halting the Governor from enforcing the Executive Order on mask-wearing and close-contact quarantines within Illinois schools. Please note that a park district is a different taxing body than a school district, and therefore is not subject to the same rules and regulations as schools. The Elmhurst Park District and our legal counsel are evaluating the TRO ruling. However, with the exception of Rec Station held at the public elementary schools, masking requirements remain in effect for Park District programs and facilities. If any changes are made to our guidelines and protocols, families will be notified immediately. As always, thank you all for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the ever-changing guidelines that surround COVID-19 and how they affect our programming throughout the Park District.
