Elmhurst Police Recover Stolen Car, Stolen Goods, Heroin
The car had been reported stolen out of Chicago.

Elmhurst, IL - Elmhurst police stopped a car Jan. 13 in the 200 block of N York that had been reported stolen out of Chicago.
Isaias Salas, 34 of the 2500 block of N. Kilbourn in Chicago, and Jamie Martinez, 44 of the 200 block of S. Sacramento in Chicago, were inside the stolen car, according to Elmhurst police.
Salas was in possession of heroin, police reported. Police also found items in the car that had been stolen from a Walgreens.

Salas was charged with Class 2 felony possession of stolen motor vehicle, felony Class 4 unlawful possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor theft and misdemeanor no valid driver’s license, police reported. Martinez was charged with Class 4 felony theft.
Both men were taken to DuPage County Jail.
