Elmhurst Resident Named Volunteer of the Month by BMO Harris Bank

Chicago, IL - BMO Harris Bank has announced, in partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks, the recognition of Jennifer Finkl of Elmhurst as the Volunteer of the Month.

Finkl is a volunteer and treasurer for the Chiefs Hockey Club.

Finkl began volunteering with the club as way to give back to her son’s great hockey coaches. Her favorite Blackhawks experience was watching the team win the 2015 Stanley Cup.

Also recognized were Chicago resident Andrew Capuano, recently named a BMO Harris Bank Player of the month, Chicago resident Nicholas Capuano, recently named a BMO Harris Bank Player of the month and Crest Hill resident Don Mrozik, recently named the BMO Harris Bank Coach of the month.

Lucino Sotelo, chief marketing officer at BMO Harris Bank, presented the awards to the Capuanos, Mrozik and Finkl during the on-ice ceremony at the Jan. 12 Blackhawks game.

For the past eight seasons, BMO Harris Bank and the Chicago Blackhawks have teamed up to honor youth hockey coaches and players each month for their outstanding achievements both on the ice and in their communities. This is the third year BMO Harris Bank and the Chicago Blackhawks are recognizing a volunteer of the month, awarded for their efforts in giving back to their community.

All candidates are nominated by teammates, coaches, friends or family members through the Blackhawks’ website and are judged by an amateur hockey committee.
